The Initiative
At DyMynd Angels we are creating a world in which women can invest in women.
Women invest differently than men and we embrace it! When thinking of angel initiatives, most think of being an Angel Investor. Angel Investors are accredited investors within a traditional angel network who invest in early stage start-ups. Women do not often see themselves as traditional Angel Investors. In fact, they see angel investing as a “boy’s club.”
At DyMynd Angels we are creating a new table for female funders. We are not sitting at the boys table anymore. We have remodeled their table long enough. We have created new legs, extended it, and added new chairs and still there is not enough room for women to sit down with Clarity, Comfort, and Confidence. Simply put, it is time to evolve the game, all together.
Our
Why
Around the world, women yield tremendous economic power, but the market women represent as investors is vastly untapped. In 2013, women only represented 19% of all angel investors in the United States. This represents an enormous missed opportunity for female entrepreneurs, and this is where DyMynd Angels will be most effective.
Our
Goals
DyMynd Angels’ primary goal is to elevate the entire female entrepreneurial eco system. We empower female funders to get involved in the entrepreneurial space and disrupt the way in which female entrepreneurs access capital.
Our secondary goal is to continue to develop dynamic educational environments that elevate each woman into the entrepreneurial space and removes the barriers for HER to engage so that SHE may provide female entrepreneurs with new access to a more inclusive and supportive community of investors.
Our
Solution
DyMynd Angels empowers the female funder to get involved in the entrepreneurial space and disrupt the way in which female entrepreneurs access capital. This is a new initiative to develop a pipeline for female angel investors. This is the evolution of #womenfundingwomen.
Through Angel Hour networking events, dynamic educational Membership Circles, and Angel Investing Bootcamp Intensives, DyMynd Angels will provide an opportunity for each woman to contribute to a collective fund, clarify her role in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, and become comfortable and confident Female Funders. This our Angel Evolution.

DyMynd Celebration of Inclusion
At DyMynd we celebrate the diversity of all people. We understand the critical importance of diverse representation of women throughout our conversations, research, and programs. We are dedicated to expanding our model in diverse communities and advocating for all perspectives to be heard in finance.
A DyMynd Woman is...
We use an inclusive definition of “woman” and “female” and we welcome trans women, genderqueer women, and non-binary people who are female-identified. Currently, we use the term women to be inclusive of all individuals who identify as female, with pronouns she, her, them, they, their, it. We feel that this is especially important when working within the field of Finance. The terms woman or women are used in juxtaposition to the industry’s conscious bias and unconscious reference of “clients” as male or men. We remain committed to walking through the door as an inclusive group who reflect the full continuum of diverse individuals who identify as female.
